Our products are cosmetics

VELDT & VEIN products are cosmetics. They are intended for application to the body to cleanse, beautify, promote attractiveness, or alter appearance. They are not intended to affect the structure or function of the body, and they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

We make no medicinal, therapeutic, or drug claims. Where the journal or any product description discusses scientific research about an ingredient, the discussion reflects publicly available scientific literature and editorial interpretation. It is not a clinical claim about our products.

Patch test before first use

Skin sensitivities vary from person to person. Before you use any of our products for the first time, apply a small amount to the inside of your forearm and wait 24 hours. If you experience irritation, redness, or any reaction, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.

Allergy and sensitivity

Our products contain naturally derived botanical ingredients (including marula, rooibos, honeybush, fynbos, baobab, and aloe ferox), essential oils, and proprietary actives. Botanicals can be allergens. Please:

• Always read the full ingredient (INCI) list on each product before use.
• Consult a doctor before use if you are sensitive or allergic to any plant family or essential oil.
• Stop use immediately if any reaction develops.

We are not liable for reactions arising from undisclosed sensitivities, misuse, or use contrary to label instructions.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and children

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, planning pregnancy, or considering use of our products on a child, consult your healthcare provider before use. Some essential oils and active ingredients (including but not limited to bakuchiol, certain peptides, and high concentrations of essential oils) are best avoided in these contexts.

Specific ingredient note: actives

Where our journal or product copy discusses ingredients such as copper peptides (GHK-Cu), bakuchiol, magnesium chloride, marula seed oil, rooibos extract, or any other active, the discussion is editorial. Mechanisms of action and supporting research are summarised from public-domain scientific literature. Our products contain these ingredients at cosmetic concentrations and are not substitutes for prescription treatments.

Results vary

Skin is individual. Visible benefits, sensory experience, and tolerance vary from person to person. We make no guarantee of any specific outcome.

Where our journal or any third-party content on the Site discusses skin science, health, longevity, or wellness, it is editorial commentary based on public sources and our formulator's perspective. Our products are for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Discontinue if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children. Store as directed on each product label.

Compliance

We comply with applicable cosmetic regulations in the markets where our products are sold or supplied to retailers, including the EU Cosmetic Products Regulation (EC) 1223/2009, the United States Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA) where applicable, and the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive. Compliance is verified before any product is supplied to a particular market.
