Fynbos Sensorial Bath Oil

Cape floral kingdom oil, for evening rituals

A bath oil for the evening, built around a custom essential oil blend of indigenous Cape Fynbos botanicals — buchu, helichrysum, rose geranium. In a marula and sweet almond carrier base, with a cosmetic solubiliser so the oil disperses into bathwater rather than floating on top.

  • Marula oil 20% Carrier oil base

On the Fynbos kingdom

Fynbos is a UNESCO World Heritage biome — over 9,000 plant species in 90,000 km², roughly 80% of which are endemic. Buchu was used as currency by the Khoisan. Helichrysum has medicinal weight in Xhosa traditions. Rose geranium is grown commercially in the Western Cape for the perfumery export market.

The blend is made for us in small batches by a Cape Town distillery; we do not disclose the supplier name publicly to protect the relationship.

How to use

Add 2–3 pumps to a running bath, just before you get in. Stir to disperse. Soak for 20 minutes. Pat skin dry afterward — there will be a faint oil film, which is the point.

When not to use

Avoid in the first trimester of pregnancy. Patch test if you have known fragrance sensitivity. Not for use on infants.
